As a measure of safety, security, and convenience, we have made some changes to our processes this tax season. We hope this will provide much-needed info on how to get
your tax items to us as seamlessly as possible.
Provide a valid email address. Please call the office or email us with your current email address. That number is (336) 438-0001 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Complete the tax questionnaire we provide you and gather all of your supporting documentation (W-2’s, 1099’s, mortgage interest statements, copies of social security numbers, copies of driver’s licenses, etc).
Return the completed tax questionnaire AND the supporting documents to us. These could be the original, copies, or scanned in copies. We will return all original documentation received upon the completion of your 2020 tax returns.
Sending Your Documentation
There are multiple options to choose from when sending your items to us.
SCANNING TAX DOCUMENTS TO US
We prefer that you scan them in. But first, we would need to provide you with access to
your very own secure folder. Once you have provided your current email address to us,
we will send an invitation link which will prompt you to create a login on our client portal.
Once you are in, you can upload all of your items into the pre-existing folders, or create
folders of your own! Easy peasy!
We will use this portal to share documents securely between the two of us. Meaning, we
will most likely upload your preliminary tax return there for secure review.
Face-to-face meetings are allowed. We are offering both virtual and in-person tax consultations this year. If you would prefer to meet and discuss your tax situation before
preparing your tax returns, please call the office to schedule your appointment today. Spots are already filling up and we would love for you to have one of those spots.
The consultation rate is $125 for up to the first hour.
MAILING TAX DOCUMENTS TO US
You also have the option to mail your tax items to us at our office address:
Sandra Joyner Enesi, CPA
20 NE Court Square
Graham, NC 27253
HOW SOON WILL MY TAXES BE DONE?
We aim for the same turnaround time of two weeks or less. A lot of times we have
returns in and out in 3 - 4 days, depending on the level of difficulty. If you have your
items to us by April 1st, we expect to be able to get your return completed and ready for
e-filing before the April 15th deadline.
For all of our business owners, the business tax returns are due March 15th, and the $200 annual report fee should be filed on that date as well.
TWO IMPORTANT TAX CREDITS THAT YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR
SO WHAT’S DIFFERENT THIS YEAR?
For starters, possibly two very important tax credits that you may be eligible for this year. Consider these questions:
Did you receive a stimulus payment in 2020? If so, how much did you receive? If you have not received a stimulus in 2020, you may be entitled to a credit on your tax return. Be sure to let us know.
Did you miss any time from work related to COVID-19? Meaning, did you have to care for sick family members or couldn’t work due to a forced 14-day quarantine? If so, please provide the days missed from work in 2020.
We hope we have explained our new process for this tax season. Please know that we will truly miss seeing your smiling faces and hope to see you for a quick coffee or lunch sometime in the nearest future.
If you have any questions or need additional clarity, feel free to call, email, or message us anytime.
As always, thank you for allowing us to be of service to you for your tax preparation
